Most of this release from 2015 has been snapped up by private collectors, but The Whisky Mill are excited to have secured a small allocation for public purchase today. This single malt from Isle of Islay has a wonderfully diverse palate, with hints of caramel, coconut and honey, with a finish an oaky, peaty finish. If you’re looking for rarity, complexity and quality of the highest standard, then Port Ellen ticks all the boxes.
Flavour Profile: Nose
Creamy in texture with a medley of caramel, there is a hint of smoke on the nose with the smallest trace of mint.
Flavour Profile: Palate
Flavours expand the palate on each sip. A sprinkle of coconut greets, ahead of intense caramels & rich dates, treacle & honey.
Flavour Profile: Finish
This is a dry, elemental finish, encompassed by earthy oak & a slightly cooling capacity.
