One of the many distilleries that call Speyside home, Craggamore has been producing classic Scotch malts since 1869. Their sherried 12 year old won bronze at the 2015 International Whisky Awards, thanks to its slightly floral notes for a much lighter palate. If you find island whiskies a little rich and overwhelming, then this could be the ideal alternative for a late evening aperitif to get you dancing after a challenging day in the office!
Flavour Profile: Nose
Lemon peel, rhubarb & custard approach with developing hints of aged leather & sandalwood. Excitingly peaty with juicy notes of caramelised fruit & caramel starting to come through.
Flavour Profile: Palate
Sun ripened fruit underlies a chai like spice medley. Honey is evident as is black pepper, vanilla & oak.
Flavour Profile: Finish
A beautifully elegant finish. Sweetness, smokiness & spice lingers against a gentle citrus tart.
