This 12 Year Old from 2013 was the 13th release in the celebrated series from the Islay distillery. Many say that it’s the best that Lagavulin has recently produced, and it’s highly sought after by those in the know. It's strong, with a big palate that offers hints of the coastal shores, with touches of cocoa and smoke throughout the finish. One of those bottles you will never regret buying, but may regret sharing!
Flavour Profile: Nose
Toasted nuts, syrup soaked fruits and a touch of zest characterise the nose. Slightly playful, yet nostalgic with memories of christmas pudding.
Flavour Profile: Palate
Significant tones of cocoa and mocha intertwine with the heaviness of a summer evening before a storm. Heady sweet flavours and a charred character.
Flavour Profile: Finish
Coils of smoke emerge for the finish against an oily, peaty and slightly herbaceous experience.
