A distillery that closed its doors in 1983, this 35-Year-Old bottle is from the finite amount of quickly diminishing stock and was bottled in 2014. It’s a malt that has a wood smoke, peaty palate as you would expect from an Island whisky, with a beautifully dry, smokey finish. In this release there are only 2,964 bottles available, so best get a wriggle on if you want one in your collection.
Flavour Profile: Nose
Mossy peat & freshly cut leaves exist alongside thickened cream. Referencing a devonshire tea, there is a jam sweetness & subtle warmth to the nose.
Flavour Profile: Palate
Full blooded & bold. A nutty flavour prevails rich in peat & wood smoke. A delightful complexity is exhibited on the palate, through the inclusion of European oak, blackberry compote & mocha.
Flavour Profile: Finish
An undoubtedly magnificent finish. Dry, smoky, spicy and lingering.
