Now, there is a difference between award-winning and celebrated award-winning whiskies, and this 10-Year-Old bottle from legendary Scottish distillery, Talisker, is a prime example. It has been recognised on numerous occasions for its excellence, winning the highly sought after Scotch Whisky Masters award in 2015, along with Gold Outstanding at the 2013 International Wine & Whisky competition - so don’t just take our word for how good it is. It’s typically peaty and peppery, standard for an island palate, but it's the toasted malt, bonfire finish that really takes it to the next level.
Flavour Profile: Nose
Fragrant and uplifting. Pungent smoke belies a sweetness akin to fresh pear and apple peels with faint hints of sea salt spray.
Flavour Profile: Palate
A crackling bonfire with notes of black pepper and aged barley. Ripe orchard fruit appears too, providing a subtle, perfect balance. Hints of wooded forest & more gently of ash & berries.
Flavour Profile: Finish
A brown sugar undertone travels through the smoke in a long, languid finish.
