Established in 1897, the Dufftown distillery is based in Speyside alongside several other Scotch whisky-making heavyweights. They produce both rare and fine malts that are the talk-of-the-town for whisky specialists worldwide, including this excellent 15-year-old Singleton malt. Its light, smooth and spicy taste has won several awards to date, including a gold medal at the 2014 Scotch Whisky Masters (malts 13 - 18yo), which is voted for exclusively by industry specialists who have the unenviable task of sipping whisky all day!
Flavour Profile: Nose
Slightly spicy on the nose, toffee apple, ripe autumn fruits & red berry. A sense of golden syrup sweetness is set against a vague, but interesting yeasty note.
Flavour Profile: Palate
A sweet & leisurely drying palate. Fresh fruit accompanies a balance of spice, creating a wondrously rich vanilla experience.
Flavour Profile: Finish
A dryness defines the departure. Pears & wheat biscuits are paired with hints of cinnamon & liquorice.
